CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR

Location: Washington, DC

Classification: Full-Time

Description: Logapps is seeking a Contract Administrator to assist senior level contract specialists in devising innovative business strategies, agile procurement solutions, and developing and implementing the procurement policy/processes and providing acquisition support services. This role is perfect for candidates seeking to increase their acumen in government contracts and acquisition and grow within a large team. Candidates must be a US Citizen and able to pass a government background check. The position is conveniently located in the Washington, DC metro area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports COR in the pre, post, and de-obligation and closeout of contract files.
  • Assist in the recovery of unexpended funds through the preparation of de-obligation modifications.
  • Support the preparation and submission of CPARS.
  • Maintains general cognizance of the contractor’s technical efforts and progress.
  • Supports COR in documenting issues in the COR contract file to ensure mutual understanding.
  • Provides support in maintaining the COR file, documenting significant actions and retaining copies of trip reports, correspondence, and reports or deliverables received under the contract.
  • Supports COR in capturing correspondence with COR and contractor to include memoranda of any significant verbal discussions.
  • Advises the COR of any problems affecting the cost, schedule, or technical performance of the contract.
  • Provides assistance in review and filing of invoices and maintenance of burn charts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of progressive government contract experience
  • 3+ years working in contract administration
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and/or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and acquisition planning
  • Experience with contract closeout procedures
  • Experience with de-obligation of funds processing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High level of detail in executing work
