Junior Process Quality Assurance Specialist, IT

Role Overview

Logapps is seeking a Junior Level Process Quality Assurance Specialist, IT candidate that can help a federal client institute process changes within their organization and establish compliance with IT best practices.  The job will be performed on-site in Washington, DC with some allowance for remote work.  The successful candidate will be able to work in a small team environment, filling different roles, and interacting with managers at different levels of seniority and responsibility.

The candidate will assist client’s leadership in special projects that align with the objectives of the organization. It will require interaction at various levels of the organization, including senior leadership. The candidate will support the client’s quality assurance team, and review project and program deliverables.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for how Quality Assurance reviews and analyzes major systems, utilizing workflows, spreadsheets, templates and other existing material
  • Creating Project Health report template for all Major Projects to serve Portfolio Managers and senior leadership
  • Monitoring projects status report, charts, and release calendars
  • Assessing work product, costs and resource productivity in an effort to ensure alignment with project plans
  • Developing and implementing quality assurance policy, guidance and procedures
  • Creating methodologies, templates, guidelines, checklists and other artifacts in order to establish repeatable processes


Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Master’s Degree and one (1) year, or Bachelor’s and three (3) years of general experience working in a consulting environment
  • At least one year of specialized experience directly related to process improvement and quality assurance
  • At least one year of experience managing client meeting presentations
  • Detailed understanding of the SDLC and IT Project Management process
  • Working knowledge of the change management process
  • Strong data analysis, research and fact-finding capabilities
  • Strong technical writing skills, including the ability to develop presentations and materials for various types of audiences
  • Proven ability to work independently while driving and managing assignments from concept through deployment/launch
  • Experience with research and development
  • Attention to Detail – Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail
  • Customer Service – Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems or satisfy their expectations; knowledgeable of available products and services and is committed to providing quality service
  • Oral Communication – Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues and responds appropriately.
  • Problem Solving – Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and makes a recommendation


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Office Suite Training, with focus on intermediate/advanced Excel skills
  • 1-2 Years’ experience working for the federal government
  • ITIL Foundations Training
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification or Training
  • Experience with Agile Project Management Practices
